When did I start yoga?

I started yoga on and off during the end of  2013. It wasn't until April of 2014 that I started having a regular pratice.

 

Where did I take my first yoga classes?

I took my very first yoga class in 2014 at Yoga Shakti, Huntington Beach California. There website is www.yogashaktistudio.com

 

What made me start doing yoga?

I started doing yoga mainly for my mental health. I was getting discuraged in my career field. That of course caused stress and my decressing interst in my creativity (I am a buyer (clothing) and personal stylist. I was often depressed and filled with aniety. I always wanted to start yoga and this was a perfet time if any to push myself to do so. 

 

How long Have I been doing yoga for?

I have been doing yoga for about a year and a half. It will be two years in April 2016

 

How long have I been skating for?

I  stating when I was 3 years old. Yes 3, before I even learned how to ride a bike I was skating. My mom bought be a pair of those Fisher Price skares from the late 80's and off we went! She would take me and my sister to the roller rink every other weekend. And as I grew, so did my skating skills.

 

How did you get good at skating?

Practice! When I was a kid I would practice everyday. Sometimes all day. Of course there were times I was tired of skating and did other things but skating has always been a big part of my life and I kept at it consistently. Learning how to fall all different types of ways, also improved my skills. 

How can you get started with skating?

I give private lessons when I am back home in Southern California and I currently am taking students in Cologne, Germany. Feel free to contact me directly for pricing and for locations. 

If that isn't an option I would suggest going to a local roller ring and taking lessons if you can. Or just hashing it out in the streets! You can buy an ok pair of skates from Target for like 60 bucks and you can practice in a parking lot or in front of your own home! This is how I got so comfortable skating indoors and outdoors.
